  1. Ensure the oil is piping hot before placing the chicken in the pan to prevent it from soaking into the cornflour.
  2. Alternatively, consider air frying or oven baking the chicken.
  3. Mix the cornflour with water separately and slowly incorporate into the sauce while stirring until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Cook the chicken until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  6. Heat the second portion of olive oil in a pan.
  7. Add minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, water, chilli paste, honey, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and mix thoroughly.
  8. Gradually add the cornflour mixture to thicken the sauce.
  9. Coat the cooked chicken with the sauce.
  10. Serve with optional cooked white rice, garnished with black & white sesame seeds, spring onion, and sliced red chilli.
